Prince Grigory Gagarin - Portrait of the officer of the Caucasus corps, 1844-1855.
Prince Gagarin was an amateur painter who made a lot of oriental paintings during his travels. Also he was a friend of Lermontov (he followed him in exile to Caucasus).
