Am reading a bit about Paul Clayton, collector/performer of folk songs, sea songs especially, part of New York’s mid-century folk revival scene, and tragic figure himself. A wikipedia here, biography here, playlist here. A very calm, knowledgeable voice. Anyone who sings about Lady Franklin is good in my books (she was cool), and hey, how about that “from the days of Moby Dick” album art?

What a lovely song! And awww I love folk traditions and the way that similar stories get recycled in different ways....
