Charming medieval cartoon
This is a great example of how medieval drawings can look very modern. The 500-year-old book of Latin grammar in which this image is found, presents verbs accompanied by a drawing. To illustrate ”lego” (to read), a young student was drawn reading a book. With his short legs and abundance of hair, he looks eerily similar to a modern cartoon figure. Awesome.
