In an interview with the Globe and Mail I made a passing reference to the 1992 cod moratorium.  It was as potent an image as you can get of the emotions and hardships of rural Atlantic Canadian industry, but it was more Newfoundland than anything.  If you’d like to learn a bit more, here’s 20 year look back from CBC’s The National in 2012.  The old fellow at the end there, he kills me.
