This is a piece entitled: The First of Ten Serpents that I did for a show of student and faculty work I’m putting on in the Julian Allen Gallery at the Maryland Institute College of Art.

The show is called: Seance Mystery, Superstition, and the Occult, and it’ll be up for the next two weeks at least. Come by and check it out if you’re in the area (3rd floor, Fox building)!

You can see this and other great prints and originals from a bunch of very talented illustrators!

For example, here is a piece by the amazing Kali Ciesemier

And another by the incomprehensible Sam Bosma

Come on in and get creeped out! I’ll post some photos from this soon!

Speaking of prints, you can purchase the image above and many other fine selections from my INPRNT gallery!

Halloween spook-a-roo!

Another program with Prof. David Crystal (with bonus, son Ben) - Elizabethan pronunciation!

Honestly, just go to youtube and look up his name, wait I’ve done it FOR YOU

I am really enjoying watching Professor David Crystal lecture and talk about the history of the English language.

Patrick suggested I watch BabaKiueria one day when I was looking for good programs I from outside my usual North America / BBC documentaries.

You also should take this advice!  It is painfully sharp satire.

More information on BabaKiueria here

These kids are amazing, they nailed iiitttt.  My science classes were never this cool (except when Ms. Hunt took us on field trips! I can still identify all that lichen, Ms. Hunt).

Some really great things come out around Ada Lovelace Day every year, no?

Jon Klassen has posted an interview he found with the great Arnold Lobel (of Frog and Toad fame) on his old blog, because there was room for it there. Jon Klassen is also pretty great.
