Storycorps, forever, forever.  Love the design on that dad.

You know, I’ve seen the fantastic “The Beatles: Rock Band” cinematic a few years ago from amazingly talented animator Robert Valley, but I’ve never seen this ending clip from the game.  His style is just so darn.. stylish!!

And if you haven’t seen the original piece I mentioned:

I’ll leave this other Dionysos video here, it’s the work of Stephane Berla and I like the eeriness.  Right now he is working on a film that sounds pretty great, no?  I hope these links work.

One of my favorite videos, by Dionysos, with animation of Johann Sfar’s drawings!  Get inspired.

How delightful to watch is this stop-motion animation of Sigmund Freud? From Brazil, Cesar Coelho, director, and Luciano do Amaral, animator and puppet maker.

  • Only available to view online for a short while, another animated gem from the NFB, nominated for an Oscar.

This animated short tells the story of a dapper young remittance man is sent from England to Alberta to attempt ranching in 1909. However, his affection for badminton, bird watching and liquor leaves him little time for wrangling cattle. It soon becomes clear that nothing in his refined upbringing has prepared him for the harsh conditions of the New World. A film about the beauty of the prairie, the pangs of homesickness and the folly of living dangerously out of context.”
